DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION: 19 June 2020: abstract submission here

The 10th Annual Showcase for the Enhancing Fieldwork Learning project will now be online!

In collaboration with the British Ecological Society and the Open University we will hold an online event to discuss the creative ways fieldwork teaching activities have been delivered during the lockdown.

Please join us to discuss your #fieldworkfix and to learn about different solutions; including virtual fieldwork, using digital resources, remote teaching, using existing datasets, collecting local data and sharing using citizen science.

We welcome abstract submission for posters, short talks (10 minutes) and virtual demonstrations (15 minutes) of your #fieldworkfix. We will group these into themed sessions and use break-out groups during the day to build in discussion time. The resources gathered through the Twitter #fieldworkfix exchanges and during the virtual conference will be gathered and stored on the EFL website.

The event will be of interest to fieldwork practitioners from a range of disciplines including Environmental and Ecological Sciences, Geology, Physical and Human Geography, Agriculture, Archaeology and the wider Biosciences.

The interactive, online event will include talks, virtual demonstrations and breakout discussion sessions. We will build in break
